Anatoly Shlapakovsky received the M.S. degree in physics from Kharkov State University, Ukraine, in 1979 and the PhD. degree in particle beam physics from Tomsk Polytechnic University, Russia, in 1987.He joined the Nuclear Physics Institute, Tomsk Polytechnic University, in 1980. Since that time, he has been working in the area of high-current charged particle beam physics and high power microwaves. He was scientist-recearcher with the Plasma and Pulse Power Laboratory, Physics Department, Technion, Haifa, Israel.
